Visuals created for the north west sound archives.
I chose this particular piece of audio as i felt it would offer entertaining visuals compared to a simple dialogue that most of the audio available contained.
I decided to create a piece that is a blend of kinetic typography and vector animation, and i feel the two work well together. The original concept i had was a simple use of images to represent what was being said, in a sort of monty python style. I’ve kept the same idea in places but have made the visuals much cleaner.
Project was to design a kinetic type animation for a shakespeare sonnet. I chose sonnet 86 as i felt it offered a wide selection of ‘visual words’. The animation was created on After Effects, with audio editing on Soundbooth.
